The first formal part of the project consisted of two full day workshops. This was a chance for us to open up the creative process, to gain an insight into multiple perspectives on the weather with curators, a painter, designers, performance academics, writers and an atmospheric specialist from the School of Earth and Environment (University of Leeds).

We explored personal experiences of weather and developed these into short scenographic compositions. Many of experiences had similar motifs of change, awe or unpredictability. We also spoke about theatre as a machine, as a system of elements that work together.
